Meet Olive
Olive has been at the boarding facility for four months β long enough that she's stopped expecting visitors to stop at her run. She's a shy, soft adult dog who takes a day or two to trust, and then quietly decides you're hers. She photographs as a plain black dog, which is part of why she's still here. In person she's velvet-eared and gentle, and she deserves to be seen.
Best-fit home
Calm, patient home willing to go at her pace.
What they're like at home
Shy but never reactive. Warms up reliably with patience.
What they need
A patient adopter or foster who'll give her time to come out of her shell.
Why you'll love Olive
Olive's love is quiet and total. The dog who's overlooked in the kennel is often the one who never leaves your side at home.
Honest about the challenges
Shy at first and needs decompression time in a quiet home; long boarding stay means we know her less than a foster dog.
For a foster
Quiet adult home with time for decompression.
Foster duration: Foster would greatly help β even 2β3 weeks to build a real profile.
For an adopter
Someone calm who's open to a shy dog and a slow, rewarding bond.
Medical notes
Spayed, vaccinated, healthy.
Think you might be Olive's person?
You don't have to be sure. Reaching out is just the first conversation β we'll help you figure out if it's a fit.
